What a smooth guest upload looks like

QR Album: scan, tap, share

• Cost: by guest count: $4.99 for 25, $34.99 for 100, $89.99 for 250. Rated 4.9 from 15,317 ratings in the US App Store.
• Limit: hosting needs the app, and a live slideshow is only on business plans.

WedUploader: straight to Google Drive

• Guest flow: scan, pick, upload, with no guest login. Files land in your own Google Drive in original quality.
• Cost: $39, one-time, for all your albums.
• Limit: guests only see a gallery when you make the album public.

Test it before the reception

• Scan the printed sign with a phone that has never used the service, on cellular data, not venue Wi-Fi.
• Put the ask on the sign: “Scan to add your photos and see everyone’s” gets more uploads than a bare code.
• Send the link the next morning: good photos often arrive late.
