Free wedding photo sharing apps: 3 options compared
Compare 3 free wedding photo sharing apps: QR Album, GUESTPIX and Google Photos. See photo limits, guest accounts, expiration dates and download costs.

Free to collect does not always mean free to export. These 3 wedding photo sharing apps have different limits. We publish QR Album. Details come from official pages checked September 30, 2026; this is not a hands-on test.
What is actually free?
GUESTPIX is our pick for up to 50 photos with a free ZIP. QR Album lets you try photo, video and voice together. Google Photos works for an existing Google group.

For a strictly $0 photo collection you can download, GUESTPIX has the clearest offer here. QR Album’s free plan is better for trying different media before buying.
QR Album: try a shared guest album
Guests can browse permitted contributions and add their own without an account or app installation. The 60-item allowance covers all media together. Free video and voice clips stop at 30 seconds each. Essential costs $49 per event for 50 GB, 90 days and original-file ZIP downloads. Budget for that upgrade if you need the original archive.
GUESTPIX: a small collection you can keep
The free QR gallery includes written messages and comments alongside the photos. Its 50-photo cap is event-wide, not per guest. Video and custom themes are excluded. Download the ZIP before the gallery expires; a free gallery is not permanent storage.
Google Photos: use existing accounts
Turn on collaboration so guests can add photos and videos. Viewing by link and contributing are different: contributors need to sign in. The Android app can show the album’s QR code. Select Original quality when preserving uploaded resolution matters; Storage saver can reduce it. Check available account space rather than assuming all 15 GB are unused.
Will the free allowance cover your wedding?
20 guests uploading 5 photos each would produce 100 photos. That exceeds both dedicated free allowances in this shortlist.
Add planned videos and voice messages to the count for QR Album. For Google Photos, ask contributors to check their remaining storage. Then try the whole journey with a guest: open the link, add a photo, view another contribution and download a file. That catches an account or export requirement before the reception.
