Share by WhatsApp, without an app
Grab the album link and drop it into the chat. WhatsApp is where folks paste it since that's where the group already is — there's no separate WhatsApp feature to switch on.
Anybody who gets it taps once and opens the upload page. No app to add, no account, no sign-in.
There is no WhatsApp button to find
The album link is a regular web address, so it moves through any messaging app the same way. The share sheet on your phone lists WhatsApp along with everything else, and the copy button handles the rest. Nothing needs turning on on your side or theirs.
That's why this works for a group split across messengers: everybody gets the same link.
- Copy the link. From the QR & signs tab, beside the code.
- Paste it in the group. The group that already exists for the party. A new one goes unread.
- Add 1 line of your own. State what they get and that there's nothing to install. That line does the persuading.
What arrives on the other side
A tappable link with a preview that names the album. A tap opens the upload page in a phone browser, with your event name and the wording matching your event type. After that it's the same page a guest at the table spots.
A guest who has already uploaded also spots an offer to copy or forward the link, which is how it spreads without you.
What guests do not have to do
No app store, no account, no password, no email. The page opens directly into the choice of adding photos, video or voice. That's worth writing in your message, since folks expect otherwise and quietly don't tap.
It matters most for guests who install nothing on principle. They're the ones a link reaches and an app never would.
When a chat beats a printed card
Before the day, for the photos taken while you get ready. After it, for everything folks planned to upload and forgot. And for any occasion with no room at all — a birthday collected from a few households, a coworker leaving, a group trip.
At the party itself a card on the table still reaches more folks than a message does.
The line to send with it
2 things: what the guest gets, and that nothing needs setup. "Everything from Saturday in 1 album — tap, select your photos, done. No app." That's short enough to read on a locked screen, which is where it gets read.
Avoid explaining the technology. Nobody taps because of how something works.
Think about who ends up holding it
A link in a group can be forwarded, and anybody holding it can contribute. For a private party that's the point. For anything semi-public, close the upload window when you're done or put a password before viewing the album.
Both switches are yours and neither has to be decided before you send the link.
