Share the link without printing anything

The link and the code are the same door

Scanning the code opens the link; there's nothing the code can do that the link can't. So a guest who gets it in a message lands on precisely the page a guest at the table spots, with the same upload choices and the same album behind it.

That also means you never need a second code for folks who aren't in the room.

1. Copy the link. It's on the QR & signs tab, alongside the code, with a copy button.
2. Send it where they talk. The group chat that already exists outperforms a new channel no one checks.
3. Send it again afterwards. One reminder the following morning gathers the photos folks forgot to upload.

When sending beats printing

For anything without a location: a birthday collected from a few households, a coworker leaving, a group getaway, a birth announcement. Also for the days before and after a party, where no one is standing alongside your table card. In those cases printing solves a problem you don't have.

It's also the quickest solution during an event, if a printed sign refuses to scan.

When printing still wins

In a room, a card outperforms a message. It's in front of a guest during the waiting time when they would upload, there's no scrolling back through a chat, and it reaches folks who aren't in the group. Guests joining late or invited by somebody else never see the message at all.

For a party with a location, do both. They cost almost nothing together.

Where to send it

The chat that already exists. A group that has been organizing the party for weeks will read one more message; a channel you create for the album won't be opened. Messaging apps, email and a calendar invite all pass, since the link is a regular web address.

Anybody who opens it requires no installation and no account, which is worth mentioning in the message itself.

Guests can pass it on themselves

Once a guest has uploaded, the page hands them the link to copy or share, so they can locate the album again later or send it to somebody else. That's how a link spreads through a party without you doing anything.

It's also the reason to think about who should hold it: anybody plus the link can contribute.

Keeping some control

If an open link feels like too much, you have 2 switches. Closing the upload window halts contributions right away and voids the guest links; a password in front of the album means each viewer types it once before watching anything.

For a private party neither is needed. For anything semi-public they're worth setting before the link goes out.
