Short answer

You can delete a personal account yourself, from account settings, by typing the email address on the account. It takes effect immediately and takes every event, album and guest upload with it.

There is no account export to download — the button on that page is switched off. The album ZIP is your media, not a copy of your account data, so for that write to hello@qralbum.us from the address on the account.

3 actions people mix up

Downloading the media from an event, asking for a copy of what is held about your account, and deleting the account are 3 separate things. Only 2 of them are buttons you press yourself today. Write down which outcome you want before you touch anything.

Picking the wrong one is expensive here. Deleting the account to get at a copy of your data removes the albums and hands you nothing back.

  1. Decide what you actually want. The media, a copy of your data, or the account gone. 3 different things.
  2. Download the albums first. Deletion takes the media with it, and no album survives it.
  3. Delete from account settings. A personal account asks you to type its email address, then goes.
  4. Write to us for anything else. A business account, or a copy of your data, reaches a person by message.

The ZIP and the deletion are in your hands. The middle column is what a message is for.

Delete a personal account

The delete area sits at the bottom of account settings and asks you to type the email address on the account, character for character. Once it matches, the account goes, and every event, album and guest upload goes with it, stored files included. You are signed out as it finishes.

There is no waiting period, no undo, and nothing on our side to restore from. Download first, and do it on a device that is yours rather than a shared one.

A business account is different

Self-service deletion is refused for an account that belongs to an organization. Several people share it, events on it can be somebody else’s work, and 1 member closing the whole thing alone would be the wrong outcome. That request goes to support instead.

Write from the address on the account, name the organization, and say what you want closed. Do not attach guest photos or guest details to the message.

The account export is not built yet

Account settings shows an Export account data row with a disabled button, marked as coming later. Nothing runs behind it, so there is no file, no format and no queue you are waiting in. The 2 buttons beside it, for the processing agreement and the sub-processor list, are switched off the same way.

If you want a copy of what is held about the account, send a message to hello@qralbum.us from the address on the account. A person picks it up and answers you directly.

The album ZIP is not an account export

The album download does work, on the paid plans, and it hands you the event as 1 ZIP in original quality. That is the photos, videos and voice notes. It is not your account settings, your orders, your event configuration or anything else held about you as a customer.

Run it before you delete anything, open the file, and check a few items inside it. It is the only copy that still exists once the account is gone.

What deletion reaches, and the clock that runs anyway

Deleting the account removes its records and the stored objects behind them. Backup copies and their timing are a separate question, and this page will not promise you a moment when the last copy is gone. Ask in writing if that is what your case turns on.

A clock runs without anybody asking, too. Every album has a retention window, and removal follows 14 days after that window ends, shown with the event.

Deleting 1 event, or 1 contribution, is the smaller answer when the account is not the problem. Work upward from the smallest action rather than reaching for the largest.

Common questions

Can I export my account data from the dashboard?

No. The button is switched off and nothing runs behind it. Send us a message instead.

Does the album ZIP count as my account data?

No. It is the media from 1 event, not a copy of what is held about your account.

Why can I not delete my business account myself?

It is shared with other people, so that request goes through support.

Is there a waiting period before deletion?

No. It takes effect immediately and signs you out as soon as it is done.

Does deleting my account remove my guests photos?

Yes. Every event goes with the account, and everything in it.

I only want 1 event gone.

Delete that event. It leaves the account and your other events alone.

You are not sure which one you need

Tell us what you want gone, or which copy you need. Naming the event is enough for us to find it.
