Short answer

Creating an event takes a name of at least 2 characters and a date. Both sit on the second step. The first step picks the event type (seven types, wedding preselected). The third picks the plan: Essential is preselected, Free sits below as a quiet line.

Then you get a guest link and a QR code. On Free the event is active straight away. On a paid plan it stays a draft until payment clears. The link answers before that but takes nothing yet.

What you really have to enter

Name and date are the only requirements, both on the second step. The name needs at least 2 characters. The date sets how long the album stays.

The event type on the first step defaults to wedding. Leave it untouched and the event is still valid. Everything else is fittings and can be added in settings later: moderation mode, video and voice messages, a cover photo. The wizard never asks for a language (see below).

  1. Pick the occasion. Seven types: wedding, birthday, party, corporate, conference, sports, other. Wedding is preselected. The choice dresses the guest page and can be changed later.
  2. Enter name and date (required). The name appears on the guest page later. Use the one your guests know the party by, at least 2 characters. The date starts the retention clock and may lie in the past.
  3. Pick a plan. Essential is preselected. To start free, take the quiet Free line. All three paid plans lift item, video and storage limits together.
  4. Review and create. The summary shows type, name, date, plan, guest link and retention. Creating issues code, link and QR code.
Recorded in the dashboard with example data. The 4 steps take about half a minute.

What the date is for

The date drives the retention clock. Your album lives out your plan's window counted from the day of the party, not from the day you paid. Setting it up three months early costs you nothing.

A date in the past is allowed and no error. The clock then starts today. That way no album expires before the first guest has opened it.

What language your guests see

The wizard has no language field. The guest page reads each phone's language and answers in it: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Japanese or Indonesian.

The language stored on the event is only the fallback for devices whose language is missing. It can be changed in settings. The printed code keeps working.

The preselected plan

The third step opens with Essential. Free stays as a quiet line.

Free5 GB30 seconds6030 days

Starting free means paying before the party. An upload refused in the evening cannot be recovered in the morning.

Publish at once or review first

Every upload appears in the album straight away by default. Alternatively all uploads wait for your review. Then no guest sees anything before you have looked at it.

Small circle of people you know: publish at once, the album grows along. Open party: review first, the calmer choice.

Draft and going live

A freshly created event is a draft. The guest link already answers but shows a note instead of the upload area. That is how you test the printed QR code before the party.

Only activation opens the event for uploads. If a payment breaks off, the draft survives. Finish it later without creating again.

What is ready afterwards

You get a short code. It yields guest link, printable QR code and album address. All three belong to the event and stay valid as long as the event exists.

Settings add a custom link on top. The original code keeps working alongside it.

Common questions

Can I change the name later?

Yes. It appears everywhere afterwards, and the guest link stays the same.

Do I have to enter a date?

Yes. Nothing moves forward without a date. The date sets how long the album stays. It may lie up to five years back. The clock then starts today.

Why is Essential preselected?

Because most parties hit Free limits: 60 items, 30-second videos. Essential lifts every cap at once. Free stays as a quiet line.

Can I test before paying?

Yes. On Free the event is active at once. On a paid plan it stays a draft until payment. The guest link already answers but shows a note instead of the upload area.

How many events can I create?

As many as you need. Each has its own code, its own album and its own retention.
