Share the finished album
Send the same album link you have already. There's no separate completed version — the album just halts changing once uploads are closed.
Before you send it, clarify 3 things: is the album public, may guests download, and do you have the files yourself.
There is no separate finished album
The table-card link on the table cards is the link you reuse afterward. Nothing gets reposted and no fresh address is generated — the album is still the same page holding more and, once you close uploads, nothing further arriving.
That means anybody who saved the link during the party already has the completed album. They just don't know it's completed.
- Download your own copy first. Everything after this is reversible. Not having the files is not.
- Do the tidy-up pass. Hide what's blurred or duplicated. It takes 10 minutes and it's what makes it feel completed.
- Send the link with 1 line. State what it's, whether they can download, and how long it holds up.
Settle 3 things first
Is the album public, so the link isn't blank? May guests download, to hand them the files, and do you have your own copy so nothing afterward is risky? Those 3 answers determine what your message should say.
Getting your own download first is the one that matters. Each other decision is adjustable later.
What the message should say
3 short pieces: that the album exists, whether they can take the photos, and about how long it holds up. Folks act on a deadline they can see and ignore one they must guess at.
If a password is involved, keep it in the same message. A separate one goes missing.
Closing uploads, or not
Closing the upload window halts contributions right away and voids the guest links used for sending. Viewing has its own switch, so an album can be closed for uploads and still viewable — which is the usual shape once you downloaded it all.
Keep uploads open for a few days to start. The second wave arrives from folks who were too busy to send anything that night.
How long it stays reachable
The album gets its plan s window counted from the event date: 30 days on the free tier, plus 90, 183 or 365. Then a 14-day grace period runs, and warning emails go off 14 days, 3 days and 1 day before anything is removed.
Say the date in your message. "Up until the end of March" gets folks to look; "for a while" doesn't.
When it is genuinely over
Once you have the files and the guests have taken a look, you can take the album private and the link goes dark. That's tidier than waiting for the window to run out, and it's reversible up until the media itself is removed.
Keep your own download saved elsewhere. When the retention window closes, the media is gone from our side too.
Common questions
Is there a separate link for the finished album?
No. It's the same link, holding more and nothing further arriving.
Should I close uploads before sharing?
Not right away. Leave a few days for the second wave, then close.
Does closing uploads hide the album?
No. Viewing and uploading are separate switches.
How long will guests be able to see it?
Your plan s window from the event date, with a 14-day grace period.
What should I do before sending anything?
Download your own copy. Everything after that is reversible.
Download everything
The step that goes before all of this.
Let guests download, with a password
If they should have the files too.
Publish or hide the album
